Rodica Lambert – God says that I’m Beautiful

11 Mar

For the next two weeks, we are doing a series on what God says on beauty to lead up to our March Beauty Bash and Lunch to benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center.  Today’s interview will feature Rodica Lambert, a Pastor at Christian Embassy International Church, and an amazing woman of God who is beautiful both inside and out!

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty is a quality of the heart. I can always look in the mirror and find things I’d want to change about my outward appearance. It’s when we look in the mirror of God’s Word and read about how God sees us, that we can accept who we are, because God says we are fearfully and wonderfully made in His image. God only makes beautiful things. True beauty is seeing yourself the way God sees you and loving yourself the way God loves you.

What inner trait about yourself makes you feel beautiful?

Passion…My heart’s desire is to love God passionately, love people unconditionally and enjoy life to the fullest.

What outer feature about yourself do you love?

Growing up in Romania, I got picked on a lot for being tall and skinny because petite and curvy was more “the look” back in that culture. Coming to America, that feature all of a sudden became my asset…so I have learned to accept how God made me and not go by the changing opinions of culture.

What is one (inexpensive or free thing)  you or other women can do to make themselves feel beautiful?

Smile…there is nothing more beautiful and loving than a smile.  🙂

I would also like to leave you with the lyrics of my daughter’s favorite song by Britt Nicole, “Gold.”  Hope this encourages you:

Thanks again to Pastor Rodica Lambert for her fun and insightful interview! 🙂

To learn more about beauty and God’s design for relationships, (and to eat a yummy meal and try out some great beauty products,) we would love it if you came out to our March Beauty Bash and Lunch to benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center!  🙂

Love this interview! “Gold” is one of my favorites songs too!

Beauty to me is acceptance. Acceptance for themselves and acceptance for others. Living in this fallen world it is the norm to be judged. When a person loves and accepts themselves for how God made them it radiates from the inside out. That love & acceptance then allows them to accept the beauty in others. There is nothing more beautiful than a person who loves the skin they’re in.
