Jennifer Faith Gammill – God says I’m Beautiful

13 Mar

For the next two weeks, we are doing a series on what God says on beauty to lead up to our March Beauty Bash and Lunch to benefit the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Today’s interview will feature Jennifer Faith Gammill, a musician, mother of three, and an amazing woman of God who is beautiful both inside and out!

What does beauty mean to you?

Beauty means being beautiful inside and out, being healthy and looking your best on the outside, but also having an inner integrity and strength of character that others can’t help but notice is beautiful. One Bible verse I’ve always tried to take to heart is 1 Peter 3:3-4, “Your beauty…should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit.”

What inner trait about yourself makes you feel beautiful?

My determination.

What outer feature about yourself do you love?

My eyes.

What is one (inexpensive or free thing) you or other women can do to make themselves feel beautiful?

Try going with your natural hair color! It is probably beautiful in its natural form, and while there’s nothing wrong with hair coloring, it can be a nice (and inexpensive!) change to go “au natural.” People often ask about my hair color, and are surprised when I tell them it is natural!

Beauty is realizing that God fashioned you the way you are. He took time to put each piece of you together and that He was satisfied when He completed his masterpiece, you. Beauty does not lay in the way we look or dress, but in knowing that God created you special, with purpose, and love, like He created the twinkling stars in heaven. I encourage little girls to look at themselves and be proud of who God made them, and recently, I published a book, God Says I’m Beautiful: An Expression of Love from God to Little Girls, for that very purpose.

Thanks Jacqui; I love your response, especially since I have a little girl too! I will have to check out your book. Thanks and blessings! 🙂 Lauren

I would love to hear what's on your heart! Please play nice, as comments which are negative or abuse in nature will be removed. This is a place to uplift and encourage, so join in if you'd like! :). Blessings!
