Here is a picture of my kids and their best friends, relaxing with drinks and having a movie night!
Let’s take a lesson from these babies. It’s OK to enjoy life! 🙂 I’m all about doing God’s work, but the Bible also tells us to enjoy our lives on this earth, since we’re only here for a short time.
I recently watched a reality TV program where a girl was on a date. The guy asked what she did to relax, and she said, “work.”
“Work,” he asked. “You mean to tell me on your one day off, you want to work,” he repeated.
“Yes,” she insisted.
“Well, while you’re working on your day off, I’ll be relaxing at the beach,” he told her.
That was the end of that date!! 😉
How many of us are like that? We don’t know how, for the life of us, to relax!!?? It’s OK to be silly and tell jokes. It’s OK to put the kids to bed and have a movie night with your guys or girls. It’s OK to take a mental health day and not do anything “productive.”
Hard work is great, but why work hard and make lots of money if you never enjoy it??? 🙂
Today, have some fun! I’m taking the kids to the water park, and I will be acting crazy in the kiddie pool right alongside them.
